The short version: Vertimo runs entirely on your Mac. Your files never leave it. The app collects nothing, and this website doesn't either.

The app

Your files stay on your Mac. Every conversion happens on-device. Vertimo never uploads, transmits, or copies your files anywhere. It works exactly the same with the network unplugged.
No account. There is nothing to sign up for and no profile to create.
No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and sends no usage data. If a future version ever offers crash reporting, it will be strictly opt-in, and this policy will be updated first.
Sandboxed by design. Vertimo runs in the macOS App Sandbox and can only read files you drop on it or folders you explicitly grant. Folder permissions you grant are stored privately on your own Mac.
The free-conversion counter lives on your device. We have no record of what — or how much — you convert.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Vertimo Unlimited is purchased through the Mac App Store with your Apple ID. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, payment details, or Apple ID. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchases.

vertimo.app is a static page served by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes standard technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not access or retain these logs for analytics.
No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. Fonts are self-hosted — the page makes no third-party requests.

Vertimo is not directed at children under 13, and since it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Given what Vertimo is, we expect it to stay boring.
